Activity 1: Download and save a copy of the Death by PowerPoint Questions file to your PowerPoint folder.
Carefully watch the Youtube video to answer the questions on the sheet. Or you can watch the video from the Shared drive (S:\bbt9\PowerPoint 2017\4.1 How to avoid death by Powerpoint.mp4) watch the video "How to avoid death by PowerPoint" and answer the questions on the page. |
Activity 2 a: Learn how to do internet research and create a storyboard. Visit the website to the right to view 3 videos about internet research and citing sources

Activity 3: Choose a topic and begin research. Create a folder named Pics to save all your images in, place all your information, pictures, and source information in a storyboard. View the Sample topics document to assist you in choosing a topic you can cover in 2 minutes. Save your Storyboard as a word document in your PowerPoint folder named: Storyboard.

Activity 4: Create a "How To" PowerPoint. Using your research and Storyboard, and the knowledge learned from Mr. Phillips and the documents above, produce a 2 minute presentation (not including your reference slides) on "how to do" something.
Save your PowerPoint as "HowTo.ppt in your PowerPoint folder of your BBT folder in your U drive. Be sure to look at the rubric on the back of the Activity sheet. (Please refer to the Rubrics on the back of the Activity sheet) |
Watch the following video to learn how to set up your headset microphone for recording.

Read the following documents about Recording and exporting a PowerPoint and editing Audio content (you can also go to the S drive to see the videos).
Then you can Narrate, record, edit and export your PowerPoint to an MP4 video. Now use all you have learned to practice, Record and Export your 2 minute "How to" presentation. (Please refer to the Rubrics on the back of the Activity sheet) |
Activity 5: After narrating your PowerPoint export your PowerPoint to an MP4 video and save it to your PowerPoint folder as How to.MP4.

but it is a good tool for aiding in your PowerPoint production. You can use this to plan your 2 minute "how to do something" presentation. |
